MWA Intelligence, Inc. (MWA) is a master value-added reseller (MVAR) and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for SAP Business One and leader in enterprise resource planning software (ERP). Our primary goal is to provide the imaging channel with FORZA, the most prolific management software product in the marketplace, that withstands modern business challenges and delivers proven results to lead dealerships well into the future of digital transformation. But we are so much more than just another business software company and it’s a true testament to our community in the MWA FORZA family. Our success is a result of providing a friendly atmosphere that encourages imagination, initiation, and innovation. What better way to find out first hand than from MWA’s very own FORZA team dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and supporting the needs of our wonderful clients!
This week happens to be a very special rendition of the FORZA spotlight because we are focusing on Joan Smith, our own intern for the summer! Joan is from New Germany, Pennsylvania and for those like me who have no idea where that is, it is located between Johnstown and Altoona within the western region of the state. Like many before her, Joan has helped to extend the relationship between MWA and Saint Vincent College where she will be returning as a senior this upcoming fall to complete her BA in Management and minor in Biology.
Joan is very active within the Saint Vincent College community. If Joan is not working in the campus’s Career Center, she is planning events as a member of the Student Government Association (SGA) or preparing to ease the transition of incoming students to the school as a part of her Orientation Committee responsibilities. Joan has even gone as a far as co-founding the soon-to-be Maple Syrup Club, the first of its kind at the college which I think is pretty neat. Nothing beats some fresh syrup on a stack of warm cafeteria flap-jacks (it tastes better than it sounds).
Aside from all of Joan’s heavily involved participation on campus, her two favorite activities are cooking and baking with all four of her sisters! When asked about what her specialties included, Joan denies having any real preference for her culinary creations which is a true sign of a well-rounded chef. She also considers herself an avid lover of the outdoors, whether it be playing soccer with friends or hiking, fishing and swimming to burn off those calories from her love of food.
Future endeavors for Joan include: graduating on time (classic senior response), obtain her certification in SAP Business One, and have a ladder to climb. If that last part does not motivate you all then I do not know what will.
At MWA, Joan has primarily worked with the support team and QA department; however, she has had an impactful hand in every department during her time here. As this has been Joan’s last week with us for the summer, she would like to say that this has been a tremendous experience, unlike anything that could have been expected and that the members of MWA team are nothing short of amazing to work with.
